First time, great expirience, trip for all the family, shows /activities, amazing costumes, really feels like Medieval times. Right next to a prison that became an hotel.
Multiple activities and shops. Most of the visitors have there own costumes or rent them and the ambiance is really "middle age". There were activities for all ages and preferences. For a festivals, it is nice that the entrance is free. The prices for food and in shops were not as high as I expected them to be. It was kept clean by volunteers but also many "middle age" garages are available. Volunteers often speak English also.
Amazing festival...we join every year, and every year it's fantastic
Fun medieval festival with a lot of entertainment and good things to see and try.
Super memorable! And it's perfect for children!!!
I've been going the festival for over a decade and I'm always looking forward till next year... when entering the grounds you step back to medieval times with knights, Vikings maidens and mead... the food and atmosphere is a must experience for anyone with an interest... the volunteers make the weekend a party and memory you will never forget... if you never went then I will highly recommend going and if you have then you know you wanna go again;-)
Too crowded, but quite nice
Great festival Horsens hosts every year at the old prison. Great food. Lots to do. Music performances, kids activities, and shows scattered around. They have a main event/show that occasionally changes from year to year. Many attendees dress up for the event. Great fun every year. Free to attend.
